Intro to TV Writing: Creating The Show Bible
Taught by writer Jenny Connell-Davis
Over four sessions, spread across 8 weeks, we’ll discuss current trends in cable and broadcast television, explore successful (and unsuccessful) short “soft pitches,” loglines, “bibles” (where you explain the world of the show and where it will go), pilot outlines, pitch scripts (for those lucky moments when you get to “sell” your idea to a room full of executives). Just as important, we’ll spend most of our time writing and workshopping our own versions of all of the above.

Jenny Connell Davis, the workshop leader, is a playwright, screenwriter, and TV writer based in Austin. She has pitched at multiple broadcast and cable networks, and sold recent pilot ideas to production companies. She currently has TV and film projects at Fox Animation, Sony, and Iconoclast/Anonymous Content.
