One of the most groundbreaking productions ever to hit Broadway, Fun Home is the winner of five 2015 Tony Awards including Best Musical. Based on Alison Bechdel's best-selling graphic memoir, Fun Home features music by Jeanine Tesori, book and lyrics by Lisa Kron.
Fun Home introduces us to Alison at three different ages, revealing memories of her uniquely dysfunctional family – her mother, brothers and volatile, brilliant, enigmatic father – that connect with her in surprising new ways. This intimate and emotional theatrical experience is performed entirely in the round, bringing audiences closer to Alison’s story than ever before.
The cast includes: Sarah Marie Curry as Alison, Taylor Flanagan as Medium Alison, Mariela Denson as Small Alison, James Lindsay as Bruce, Alejandra Murga as Helen, Sandra Mae Frank as Joan, Dave Hawk as Roy/Mark, etc., Devin Gramling as Christian and Eric Judge as John.
Ground Floor Theatre Founder and Co-Director Lisa Scheps directs with musical direction by Adam Roberts, choreography by Kelsey Oliver, scenic design by Ia Ensterä, lighting design by Natalie George, sound design by Jeff Miller, costume design by Pamela Fletcher-Friday and prop design by Patti Neff-Tiven.
